Punjwani has been with Compass Health Systems
since it's inception. He is renowned for
his expertise in the delivery and supervision
of psychiatric and related healthcare
services. Dr. Punjwani ensures that the
medical operations of Compass Health Systems
maintain a consistent level of excellence and
quality care. He advises and supervises
the medical staff and practitioners, conducts
peer reviews, oversees case management, and
directs quality assurance. It is through
Dr. Punjwani's efforts that Compass Health
Systems consistently offers superior
healthcare to its patients and the highest
quality of service to its medical personnel. Dr.
Punjwani has an extensive background in
inpatient, outpatient, and consultation
settings. He is Florida Board Certified
in Adult, Child, and Adolescent Pyschiatry.
Dr. Punjwani is a member in good standing of
the American Psychiatric Association and South
Florida Psychiatric Association. He has
served as the medical director for several
hospitals and is currently the Medical
Director of Adolescent Services and Partial
Hospitalization Services at Fort Lauderdale
Hospital. Additionally, he also serves
as Physician Advisor for Florida Medical
Center and as the Medical Director for the
Elaine Gordon Treatment Center. Dr.
Punjwani remains active in many medical
centers, hospitals, and treatment programs throughout
South Florida where he assists the facilities
in adopting effective but cost efficient
healthcare delivery systems. Dr.
Punjwani has served as the primary and
sub-primary investigator in over 50 clinical
studies. Dr.
Punjwani is a graduate of the Dow Medical
College / Civil Hospital in Karachi,
Pakistan. He completed his medical
residency and internship at the University of
Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami,
Florida. Also at the University of
Miami, Florida, Dr. Punjwani completed a
two-year fellowship in Child and Adolescent
Psychiatry. He is a Diplomat of the American
Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a Diplomat
of the American Academy of Child and
Adolescent Psychiatry. |
